De Langhe Attorneys welcomes Werner Heyvaert and opens office in Brussels

1 March 2018, Werner Heyvaert will officially join the firm of De Langhe Attorneys. Werner is one of Belgium’s leading lawyers in the area of international taxation. Together with Managing Partner, Frank De Langhe and Partner Sara Burm, Werner will further develop the growth and strategy of the firm in the area of international tax law.

At the center of Europe, De Langhe Attorneys opens its third office with a focus on international taxation. Werner will operate from this new office in Brussels where he will set up and lead the international tax practice of the firm. Shortly we will communicate the exact location of the new Brussels office.

Werner has over thirty years of experience in Belgian and international tax law, with a strong emphasis on corporate tax work (institutional and transactional).

Werner regularly litigates before tax courts and tribunals and is frequently invited by the trade press and media to provide his views on significant and complex, mostly international, tax matters, such as LuxLeaks or the Paradise Papers.  Werner is currently a Vice Chairman of the Legal & Tax Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Belgium (AmCham) and regularly writes and speaks in Belgium and abroad.
