De Langhe Attorneys assists Obton with the acquisition of Greenfrun

After the takeover and subsequent refinancing of Fieva in 2016, Obton – a prominent Danish investment fund in renewable energy- has strengthened her position on the Belgian renewable energy market once more by acquiring the shares of Greenfrun.

Obton has acquired the shares of Greenfrun during the course of August. De Langhe Attorneys has coordinated the transaction and assisted Obton during the whole process, including (among others) carrying out a tax and legal due diligence, structuring the deal, leading negotiations with all stakeholders involved, providing legal and tax advice, and drafting tailor-made contracts.  De Langhe Attorneys further assisted the management of Obton with the necessary Belgian compliance formalities to ensure the smooth continuation of the business activities after the aforementioned takeover.
